Running Club – Coach Jones
The 2020 NMAPA Running Eagles Club will begin in the spring semester and run until April 2020. Students will be working on goal setting and working towards running a full 5k race at the end of the season. Those interested should have a desire to improve fitness levels through running/jogging and must be goal oriented. Students participating must keep all A’s and B’s, and must meet the behavioral expectations of our school at all times. I look forward to a great 2nd season with our NMAPA Running Eagles!
Metro Stomp – Ms. Cole
The purpose of the step team program is to encourage, motivate and enlighten the youth with rythmatic beats that they are able to use with their hands and feet. We are also building a community that will be encouraging our youth to have pride in themselves, with leadership, perseverance and determination.
Royalty Club – Ms. B. Johnson
The purpose of Royalty Club is to help build a positive self-image through mentor-ship and creative avenues such as fashion shows and pageants. Students must maintain good grades and behave in school. The royalty club is for boys and girls in grades K-5. We will meet on Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5:30.
Flute Ensemble 2019-2020 – Mr. Stevenson
Want your fourth or fifth grader to learn an instrument while developing skills that will last a lifetime? Sign them up for flute ensemble! This will be a fun way for your child to discover a passion for music while setting them up for a bright future.
Chandler Stevenson, a Junior in high school, has been playing the flute for over ten years. As an elementary school student, he developed a passion for music through guest performers and teachers. Now, he feels it is time to return the favor. Chandler has performed with the Georgia Ambassadors of Music and even performed in Europe. He plays in his school band where he holds leadership positions and performs with outside groups as well. He has conducted, composed, and taught several students from beginners to well advanced musicians. Chandler loves to see success in others, and he has high hopes for the students of North Metro.
